Jeep Wrangler YJ - 1987 up to 1995
The Wrangler YJ was built from 1987 to 1995.
The structure was classically derived from the CJ with the leaf spring chassis. At the beginning, the inline six-cylinder engine with 4.2l carburetor and 114hp and from 1991 the inline six-cylinder with the 4.0l single point engine with 178/183 were installed. The four cylinder engine with 2.5l and 118hp was available as the little brother.
In 1992, the roll cage was replaced by the "monkey cage" from the classic beveled shape, so that the rear bench seat could be fitted with three point seat belts.
